After earning an Engineering degree at Boston University, Jeff began his first career as a safety professional - starting in the U.S. Navy and continuing at several manufacturing and production facilities in San Diego county ranging from Otay Mesa to Poway. Realizing how fulfilling it was to help his fellow co-workers in the safety area, he began the transition to Human Resources while working as the Safety Supervisor at an airline caterer based at San Diego International Airport - first assuming the workers' compensation function, and then assisting with recruitment. Moving over to the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, he continued his immersion in the HR field by adding benefits and compensation to his safety and work comp responsibilities, and is in the process of earning his CCP designation.
Not content with limiting his focus to two-legged recipients, Jeff hones his Feline Resources skills by regularly volunteering at the Feral Cat Coalition's free spay/neuter clinics, thus helping the county's "strategic cat-force planning" efforts. In his spare time he enjoys music, dance, yoga, card games, and the unique engineering challenge of keeping an older car running in safe and efficient condition.
